This week’s newsletter is arriving one day early, and for a good reason. Today we celebrate three years of Advising Puerto Rico, LLC. Three years of serving clients. Three years of new relationships, new friendships. Three years of blessings.
Three years ago, when I started Advising Puerto Rico, I imagined something smaller. Just me. My laptop. My experience. After years of working what felt like two shifts a day, sometimes more than 14 hours straight, burnout wasn’t creeping in. It was consuming me. Yes, I’ve always been called a workaholic. But I wasn’t dreaming of building an empire. I was trying to breathe again. I wanted to choose who I worked with and how I served, without the weight of too many employees or too many partners.
What I didn’t expect was how God would meet me right there, in that decision to slow down, and gently build something I couldn’t have carried alone.
Today, Advising Puerto Rico is still personal. Still focused. Still human. But it’s no longer just me. It’s a small but mighty team, the kind you don’t take for granted. People who care. Who think. Who show up with excellence and integrity even when no one is watching. That alone feels like a quiet miracle.
This third anniversary feels different because it’s not just about work. It’s about life.
These years have held growth and answered prayers, but also deep loss. Losing my father and my sister reshaped me in ways I’m still learning to live with. There are moments I wish they could see all of this unfold day by day. And there are moments when I feel, very deeply, that they already know.
I hold onto the peace of knowing they were proud of me. Not only of what I built, but of how I built it. With faith. With honesty. Without becoming someone I didn’t recognize just to survive or succeed.
Through everything, God has surrounded me with an incredible family who loves me fiercely, prays for me constantly, and reminds me who I am and how much they believe in me. I’m very aware that not every entrepreneur has that kind of support. I do. And that is a blessing I never take lightly.
Advising Puerto Rico looks different today because I look different today. I’ve learned to protect my peace. To respect seasons. To value people over appearances. To trust that growth doesn’t have to hurt to be real, and that success doesn’t need to be loud to matter.
This Firm exists because of trust. Because clients allow us into vulnerable moments. Because a team shows up with heart and discipline. Because friends, mentors, and community kept supporting even when the road wasn’t flashy. And because God has been faithful in ways I couldn’t have planned.
So today, I’m saying thank you. Thank you for being here. Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for praying. Thank you for walking with us.
Three years in, grateful for our clients, our people, our family, and God’s faithfulness through it all. A lot of gratitude in my heart today.
